Footsteps of the '49ers History Hike (moderate)

Out of Stock

Product Description

Find history at every turn along “Crooked Trail” through Woodfords Canyon. Along this short, steep segment of the original 1849 California gold rush trail, we feel the polished granite rubbed smooth by thousands of iron-rimmed wagon wheels, read the axle-grease graffiti left by an early traveler, take shelter in Snowshoe Thompson’s Cave, and follow the Pony Express route. Your guide, Dianne Jennings, is a favorite of guests at Sorensen's resort who describe her tours as "great!" and "exceptional". This driving and hiking tour will include multiple stops for short hiking segments along Highway 88 between Woodfords and Hope Valley. Create your own emigrant diary from the historic markers along the way. (easy to moderate hiking level)

Age under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Youth price (age 7-12) $12.50. Children age 6 or younger are free.

Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm
