Capture the beauty of a glowing aspen grove in your own watercolor painting. In this 1/2 day workshop, professional artist Janice Powel Shedd teaches how to capture the light and shadows of quaking leaf, stately grove, and gnarled branch. The freedom of painting with watercolors allows both beginner and experienced painters to create art that will evoke memories of a crisp autumn day in the Sierra Nevada.
Janice Powell Shedd has served as a featured instructor for the Yosemite Conservancy. Her lively watercolor paintings reflect the beauty and magic of the Sierra Nevada at all seasons. We meet at the Festival Headquarters, then drive to a nearby site to paint. Dress warmly and bring a thermos of hot drinks and a snack. Bring a folding chair. A materials list will be provided to you upon registration.
Ages 12-15 must be accompanied by an adult.
